Red Rocks Amphitheater Walking Tour

Visit one of the top Denver attractions with a local Colorado tour guide to really bring the experience to life!

From there, your guide will give you some insight into the park¡¯s long history, from its use as a ceremonial space for indigenous peoples to its popularity as a recreational respite for early Denver urbanites. As you enjoy spectacular views from all around the park, you¡¯ll be able to envision Red Rocks as it was 300 million years ago while your guide describes the ancient processes that created its iconic uptilted formations. We¡¯ll have plenty of time to stroll around the park to see some unique Colorado plants and animals that call this area home.

The real showstopper of our walking tour, of course, is the park¡¯s natural amphitheater and its stage that has been graced by internationally renowned musicians for decades. You¡¯ll hear stories about 1940¡¯s Big Bands, early rock and roll and country icons like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and John Denver, and famous performances that really put Red Rocks on the map ¨C sometimes controversially.

Lastly, we will head down to the Red Rocks Hall of Fame to find your favorite performer on their floor-to-ceiling schedule of every concert since 1947 and explore displays of memorabilia from past concerts.

Please use this time to explore Denver at your own pace. Take advantage of the free Mall Ride that can take you throughout Downtown Denver to explore Union Station, Historic Lower Downtown, up-scale shopping areas, views of the South Platte River and more!
