June 30: Angels 11, Yankees 8 -- Seven-run first a season high
The Yankees¡¯ bats were locked and loaded at the start Wednesday, even with two-way star Shohei Ohtani on the mound for the Angels. Buoyed by four walks and a hit-by-pitch, the Yanks used three hits to score seven runs in the first inning -- their highest total in a single frame this season. The last time New York tallied that many runs in one frame was in the sixth inning of a matchup against the Marlins on Sept. 26 of last season.

June 29: Yankees 11, Angels 5 -- Extra-base S¨¢nchez
Gary S¨¢nchez homered and laced an RBI double in Tuesday's victory over the Angels. Fifteen of S¨¢nchez's last 23 hits have gone for extra bases (seven doubles, eight homers).

June 28: Angels 5, Yankees 3 -- Sweet 16 for LeMahieu
DJ LeMahieu has reached base safely in each of his last 16 games (since June 10), batting .348/.400/.565 over that span. He has collected a hit in 15 of those games.

June 27: Red Sox 9, Yankees 2 -- Judge cracks long 'All Rise'
Aaron Judge's two-run homer in the sixth inning was projected by Statcast to have traveled 430 feet. Of Judge's team-leading 17 homers, five have traveled at least 430 feet. His longest of the season was a 443-foot shot on May 16 vs. Baltimore.

June 26: Red Sox 4, Yankees 2 -- Another 4 for LeMahieu
DJ LeMahieu notched his eighth four-hit game as a Yankee, including an eighth-inning home run and a ninth-inning RBI single. LeMahieu's eight four-hit games are the second-most in the Majors since 2019, behind Tim Anderson of the White Sox (10).

June 25: Red Sox 5, Yankees 3 -- Loaisiga joins exclusive club
Jonathan Loaisiga struck out four batters in the seventh inning on Friday, with Michael Chavis reaching on a wild pitch. Loaisiga became the third Yankee to achieve the feat, joining A.J. Burnett (June 24, 2011, vs. the Rockies, sixth inning) and Phil Hughes (Sept. 20, 2012, vs. the Blue Jays, fourth inning).

June 24: Yankees 8, Royals 1 -- Have a day, Judge
Aaron Judge finished Thursday's game a triple shy of the cycle, tying his career high by reaching base five times (following June 11, 2017, vs. Baltimore and Sept. 4, 2017, at Baltimore). Judge became the first Yankee since Giancarlo Stanton on Sept. 27, 2019, at Texas to reach base five times in a game.

June 23: Yankees 6, Royals 5 -- Comeback kids
The come-from-behind victory was the Yankees' 20th of the season -- only the Red Sox (25) have had more around the Majors. Seven of the Yankees' last eight wins have been comebacks, and nine of their last 11.

June 22: Royals 6, Yankees 5 -- A rare triple for Voit
Luke Voit made quite a return to the Yankees from the 10-day injured list, but his most impressive feat of the night might have been his seventh-inning triple. Though it likely would have been his second homer of the game if not for fan interference, Voit doesn¡¯t mind how the play was scored. It was only the second triple of his five-year big league career, excluding the postseason -- when he hit a two-run triple to help the Yanks beat the A¡¯s in the 2018 American League Wild Card Game.

June 20: Yankees 2, Athletics 1 -- Triple play mania
For the third -- yes, the third -- time already this season, the Yankees turned a triple play. This one might have been their most exciting version to date, though, as closer Aroldis Chapman escaped a two-on, no-out jam with a grounder to third, turned to second and then to first. The last time a triple play ended the game was Aug. 23, 2009, when the Phillies turned one against the Mets, and it has happened 27 times in MLB history. The Yankees' trio of triple plays in 2021 ties an MLB record, as they are the first team to do so since the White Sox in '16.

June 19: Yankees 7, Athletics 5 -- Gio gets it done
Gio Urshela's eighth-inning home run gave the Yankees the lead on Saturday. Of Urshela's 36 home runs since joining the team, 16 have either tied the game (seven) or given them the lead (nine), including eight of his past 12 homers. The Yanks are 18-5 in Urshela's past 23 games with a homer.

June 18: Athletics 5, Yankees 3 -- Odor in the clutch
Rougned Odor cracked a fifth-inning homer to give the Yankees a short-lived 3-2 lead on Friday night. It was Odor's third game-tying or go-ahead home run in the fifth inning or later this season, which leads the club.

June 17: Yankees 8, Blue Jays 4 -- Triple play aficionados
Triple plays are one of the rarest events that can happen in a baseball game, but watching the Yankees this season, you wouldn¡¯t know it. The Yanks pulled off a 1-3-6-2-5-6 triple play (the first of its kind in baseball history, according to the SABR Triple Play Database). And yet, it was their second triple play of the year -- with the first coming less than a month ago, in a May 22 win over the White Sox. It's the first time in franchise history that the Yankees have turned two triple plays in the same season.

June 16: Yankees 3, Blue Jays 2 -- Cole passes Tanaka
Gerrit Cole notched another franchise strikeout milestone in Wednesday¡¯s game, fanning four Blue Jays to give him 117 K's through his first 14 starts of the season. That¡¯s a Yankees record, surpassing the 113 strikeouts that Masahiro Tanaka registered through 14 starts in the 2014 campaign.

June 15: Yankees 6, Blue Jays 5 -- Gittens homers for first hit
Chris Gittens' fourth-inning home run on Tuesday was also his first Major League hit, making him the sixth Yankee since 2005 to notch his first big league knock with a homer. The previous five are Zelous Wheeler (July 3, 2014, at Minnesota), Mason Williams (June 12, 2015, at Baltimore), Aaron Judge (Aug. 13, 2016, vs. Tampa Bay), Tyler Austin (Aug. 13, 2016, vs. Tampa Bay) and Kyle Higashioka (July 1, 2018, vs. Boston).

June 13: Phillies 7, Yankees 0 -- Call him DJ LeMultiHit
DJ LeMahieu collected his 100th multihit game as a member of the Yankees on Sunday, his 256th game for New York. LeMahieu is the fourth-fastest Yankee in terms of games played to reach that mark, behind only Joe DiMaggio (208), Mickey Rivers (250) and Bob Meusel (255).

June 11: Phillies 8, Yankees 7 (10 innings) -- Let's get Kraken
Gary S¨¢nchez is slashing .349/.417/.628 with five runs, three doubles, three homers and eight RBIs in his last 13 games (since May 27). He has five multihit games over that span -- including the series opener, when he homered and singled -- after notching just three multihit games in his first 33 contests of the season.

June 10: Twins 7, Yankees 5 -- Chapman's rare off-night
The two home runs allowed by Aroldis Chapman in the ninth inning were the longest he has given up since Statcast tracking began in 2015. Josh Donaldson tied the game with a 438-foot blast and Nelson Cruz hit a 457-foot walk-off shot.

June 9: Yankees 9, Twins 6 -- Stanton, Judge team up
Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton each homered. Since the Yankees acquired Stanton before the 2018 season, they have gone 10-0 in games in which both Judge and Stanton go deep.

June 8: Yankees 8, Twins 4 -- More success vs. Twins
This outcome at Target Field fit right into a generational narrative. In addition to six postseason series wins since 2003 -- including the American League Wild Card Game in '17 -- the Yankees have won or tied the regular-season series every year against the Twins since 2002. New York has an 86-37 regular-season record vs. Minnesota in that span.

June 5: Red Sox 7, Yankees 3 -- Get it while the Gittens good
Chris Gittens was the first Yankee to make his Major League debut this season, leaving the Braves as the only team not to have a player make his debut in 2021. The Yankees' season-opening 58-game stretch without having a player make his Major League debut was their longest since 2002, when Marcus Thames debuted in the club's 64th game of the season on June 10, 2002, vs. the D-backs.

June 4: Red Sox 5, Yankees 2 -- King is immaculate
Michael King fired the seventh immaculate inning in Yankees history during the fourth inning, striking out Hunter Renfroe, Marwin Gonzalez and Christian V¨¢zquez on nine pitches.

King joined Al Downing (Aug. 11, 1967, at Cleveland), Ron Guidry (Aug. 7, 1984, vs. White Sox), A.J. Burnett (June 20, 2009, at Florida), Ivan Nova (May 29, 2013, vs. Mets), Brandon McCarthy (Sept. 17, 2014, at St. Petersburg) and Dellin Betances (Aug. 2, 2017, vs. Detroit) as Yankees to have achieved the feat.

June 3: Rays 9, Yankees 2 -- Cole racking up K's
Gerrit Cole has been a strikeout machine for years, and he furthered that reputation on Thursday by moving into very select Yankees company. Cole registered his third strikeout in the third; it was also his 100th of the season. Just two Yanks pitchers have hit the century mark in punchouts through 12 starts: Cole and Al Downing, who had 101 K's through 12 starts in 1963. Cole surpassed Downing's total an inning later, and he's now up to 104 strikeouts this season.

June 2: Yankees 4, Rays 3 -- Chapman dominates Rays
He didn't make it look terribly easy on Wednesday, but Aroldis Chapman continued his dominance of Tampa Bay with a two-strikeout save. He owns a 1.57 ERA with 52 strikeouts in 28 2/3 career innings against the Rays, and he's turned in scoreless appearances in 27 of his 29 outings against them.

June 1: Yankees 5, Rays 3 (11 inn.) -- Germ¨¢n's first-pitch strikes
Domingo Germ¨¢n faced 19 hitters on Tuesday, throwing first-pitch strikes to all of them. That's the second most in a Major League game with 100% first-pitch strikes since 2008; Michael Fulmer was 23-for-23 for the Tigers on April 12, 2017.
