BLUE JAYS FAMILIES FUNDRAISING WEEKEND ¨C STUFF THE BUS CHALLENGE
On August 23 and 24 the Toronto Blue Jays held its annual Blue Jays Families Fundraising Weekend at Rogers Centre in support of Jays Care Foundation. The club¡¯s longest-running community initiative encouraged Blue Jays fans to help ¡°Stuff the Bus¡± by donating new school supplies, purchasing mystery bags, or making a monetary donation to support Canadian students facing barriers. Blue Jays fans helped raise more than $60,000 as well as donated new school supplies which will go directly to students participating in Jays Care Foundations Affiliate Schools Program.
About Jays Care Affiliate Schools Program
Jays Care's Affiliate Schools Program gives educators the opportunity to run free award-winning programming for students. Educators can register at no cost, and Jays Care provides a specialized equipment kit, Blue Jays gear, a best-in-class program manual, and support as they implement the programs at their school. There are currently more than 1,200 schools and more than 21,000 students participating in Jays Care programs through Affiliate Schools.
