What is the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award?
The Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award program is in honor of educators from all grade levels and disciplines who are improving student achievement, using innovative strategies in the classroom, and making a difference in the lives of their students. Teachers and other educators change the lives of millions of children and adults every day, and their work and impact extend far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. They play a pivotal role in our lives and those of our children, inspiring a lifelong love of learning and discovery and making a difference in their well-being and long-term success. To show thanks and gratitude for these important contributions to our community, each month from April 2025 through September 2025, the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club, Limited Partnership (the ¡°Brewers¡±) will recognize 1 educator in the community for a total of 6 educators.
Who can be nominated for the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award?
A nominee for the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award must be an individual educator residing in Wisconsin who has improved student achievement, used innovative strategies in the classroom, and/or making a difference in the lives of their students. Wisconsin educators at all grade levels and disciplines are eligible for consideration. The Brewers will review all nominations and select one individual to receive the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award each month from April 2025 through September 2025
Who can nominate an individual for the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award?
Any U.S. resident (including D.C.) who is eighteen (18) years of age or older (except in the case of legal residents of certain states where the legal age is greater than eighteen (18) years of age, such legal age of majority) can nominate a qualifying Wisconsin resident 18 years of age or older for the Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award. If a minor child wishes to nominate, the child¡¯s parent or legal guardian eighteen (18) years of age or older must submit the nomination. Self-nominations by Wisconsin residents are permitted in accordance with these guidelines. All individuals submitting nominations agree to release and hold the Brewers and the other MLB Entities harmless from and against any and all rights, claims and causes of action that may arise against either of them in connection with nominations submitted as part of this promotion. ¡°MLB Entities¡± means the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (¡°BOC¡±), its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (¡°MLB¡±), Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., The MLB Network, LLC, the Major League Baseball Clubs (¡°Clubs¡±), each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliated, and related entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Clubs or the BOC, and the owners, general and limited partners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, and agents of the foregoing entities.
How do I nominate someone for the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award?
Nominations for the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award can be made by completing a nomination form online at brewers.com/teacher. All nominations for 2025 award recipients must be submitted between February 10, 2025 and August 31, 2025. Nominations for a given month¡¯s award must be received by the last day of the immediately preceding month (for example, by February 29, for the March award).
How will the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award recipients be honored?
Each recipient of the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award will be recognized with a custom award, receive two (2) tickets for winner and one (1) guest to a 2025 regular season Milwaukee Brewers game to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the opportunity to be recognized on-field, a fan pack of Brewers items, be featured on Brewers social media channels during the corresponding month. The Award recipient¡¯s name and photo may also be featured on the Brewers website. All award details, including, without limitation, the exact nature and duration of the recognition on social media channels and/or the Brewers website shall be determined in the sole and absolute discretion of the Milwaukee Brewers and subject to availability.
Use of any Major League Baseball game/event/exhibition ticket is subject to the standard terms, conditions, and health and safety policies applicable to the ticket; see brewers.com/ticketback for details. Seat locations at the game/event/exhibition and, unless otherwise stated, exact game/event/exhibition date shall be determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Each recipient¡¯s guest(s) must be of legal age of majority in his/her(their) jurisdiction(s) of residence unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Major League Baseball game/event/exhibition dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the BOC and/or the applicable Club and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded will govern in the event a legal game/event/exhibition, as defined by Major League Baseball, is not played or held due to weather conditions, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance, or any other reason. Each recipient and his/her guest(s) agree to comply with all applicable ballpark and venue regulations; see brewers.com/ballpark for details. Sponsor and the other MLB Entities reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to any recipient and/or his/her guest(s) who engage in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person at the game/event/exhibition. Released Parties (as defined below) will not be responsible for weather conditions; acts of God; acts of terrorism; civil disturbances; local, state, or federal regulation, order, or policy; work stoppage; epidemic, pandemic, or any other issue concerning public health or safety; or any other event outside of their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any Major League Baseball game/event/exhibition. Major League Baseball game/event/exhibition tickets awarded as may not be resold, offered for resale, or used for any commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever. Any such resale or commercial or promotional use may result in disqualification and forfeiture, and may invalidate the license granted by the game/event/exhibition ticket. Participation in the event is subject to recipient¡¯s (and guest¡¯s) consent to and compliance with all health and safety policies of the MLB Entities, including but not limited to the wearing of masks if and when directed and the requirement to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (i.e., having received a final vaccination dose at least 14 days prior to the event).
What else should I know?
The Brewers retain sole and absolute discretion regarding the evaluation of nominees and the selection of each award recipient for the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award. If a nominee does not accept the award within 72 hours of a communication from the Brewers notifying the nominee, the Brewers may select a different nominee as the award recipient in the Brewers¡¯ sole and absolute discretion. The Brewers may contact nominators or nominees using information provided on the nomination form, for purposes of evaluating nominees. All decisions made by the Brewers in connection with the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award are final, and no correspondence will be entered into relating to these decisions. The Brewers reserve the right to require potential award recipients to complete certain documentation, such as a certificate of eligibility, liability release, publicity release (except where prohibited by law), photo/image waiver and release, and authorization for background check, as a condition of potential selection for receipt of the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award.
