Diamond Improvement Grant

The Diamond Improvement Grant presented by Nestl¨¦, is dedicated to ensuring that youth across Northeast Ohio have access to safe, high-quality, and playable ballfields. This grant program supports local league funding, programming, and the renovation of playing fields, helping to foster a love for baseball and softball in communities that need it most.

All grants and funding amounts are subject to approval by the Cleveland Guardians Charities' (CGC) Board of Directors. Given the high volume of requests CGC receives, special consideration will be given to:

• Supporting Nonprofits Committed to Youth Baseball and Softball - We prioritize nonprofit organizations dedicated to expanding access to baseball, softball, and adaptive programs. Our focus is on enhancing program quality and creating more opportunities for young athletes to participate. Eligible organizations should demonstrate a strong commitment to skill development, teamwork, and community engagement through structured programming.

• Proven Success in Fundraising and Facility Improvements - Priority will be given to organizations with a strong fundraising history and experience managing successful renovation projects, whether large or small. We seek nonprofits that have made measurable improvements to baseball and softball fields, including safety upgrades, enhanced playing surfaces, and improved facilities. Regardless of scale, a demonstrated ability to complete impactful renovations ensures effective use of grant funding.

• Secured Financial Support and Matching Funds - Priority will be given to applicants who have already secured partial funding or matching contributions from other sources. This ensures grant funds are used effectively, enabling projects to be completed on time while maximizing their impact within the community.

The deadline to submit applications is October 1, 2025. We encourage all interested nonprofit organizations to apply as early as possible to ensure ample time for review and consideration.
