When & where should I arrive?
Guests with Batting Practice On-Field Passes must report to the Media & Suites Entrance three (3) hours prior to first pitch. Guests who arrive late will not be permitted onto the field and no refunds will be granted. The Media & Suites Entrance is located on South Capitol Street under the breezeway, to the left of the Home Plate Gate.
Where should I park?
Guests are encouraged to purchase parking in advance to ensure early arrival for check-in. Visit nats.com/parking for more info.
Where do I get to watch batting practice?
Guests who purchase the Batting Practice On-Field Passes will be escorted to a roped off area on the warning track behind home plate. No seating is available in this area, so guests should be prepared to stand for approximately 90 minutes.
When does batting practice conclude?
Batting practice concludes one hour prior to scheduled first pitch. At that time, fans holding Batting Practice On-Field Passes must exit the field.
Do I need a game ticket?
Fans will need both a game ticket and a Batting Practice On-Field Pass in order to enter Nationals Park and watch batting practice from the field.
Can I purchase the Batting Practice On-Field Passes on game day?
Batting Practice On-Field Passes will be cut off 72 hours in advance or whenever the experience sells out, whichever comes first. Fans are encouraged to purchase Batting Practice On-Field Passes in advance, as passes are extremely limited.
Can I transfer my Batting Practice On-Field Pass to another friend or family member before or during batting practice?
Passes are only valid for one person per pass per visit, and they are non-transferrable.
How old does a child have to be to require a Batting Practice On-Field Pass?
In accordance with our ticketing policy, children who are 2 years old and younger do not need a ticket or Batting Practice On-Field Pass for entry. Children 3 years old and above will need both a game ticket and a Batting Practice On-Field Pass in order to participate.
Do children need to be accompanied by an adult?
All guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by at least one adult or guardian ¨C both the child and the parent/guardian will need their own Batting Practice On-Field Pass.
Can you accommodate guests with disabilities?
Batting Practice On-Field Passes are accessible to guests with disabilities. Please make our staff aware of your needs when you arrive at the Media & Suites Entrance.
Can I request autographs if I have a Batting Practice On-Field Pass?
We ask all participants with Batting Practice On-Field Passes to refrain from requesting autographs.
Can I take pictures during batting practice?
Guests are invited to bring their cameras and take pictures while enjoying batting practice. Cameras with a lens longer than eight (8) inches may not be brought into Nationals Park, except by credentialed media. Filming of any game footage is strictly prohibited by Major League Baseball. Monopods, tripods, and selfie sticks are not permitted in Nationals Park.
What happens if batting practice does not take place due to inclement weather?
If batting practice does not take place due to inclement weather, then a full refund will be issued. If inclement weather occurs after 30 minutes of batting practice, then no refunds will be issued.
Can I eat or drink during batting practice?
Eating, drinking and smoking are prohibited on the field.
