The Orioles and Houston Astros began a four-game series at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Matt Bowman made his Orioles debut in relief, and Gunnar Henderson and Ryan Mountcastle both doubled. Mountcastle¡¯s 29 doubles this year lead the team.
Friday, August 23
The O¡¯s beat the Astros, 7-5, thanks to Anthony Santander¡¯s go-ahead grand slam in the eighth inning. It marked the fourth of Santander¡¯s career, and the seventh by an Oriole this year. Colton Cowser recorded his 19th home run of the year in the third inning. Cowser¡¯s 19 home runs led all rookies at the end of the game. Ram¨®n Ur¨ªas recorded a triple in the eighth inning to extend the Orioles lead, and Craig Kimbrel earned the win.
Saturday, August 24
The Orioles beat the Astros, 3-2, improving to 76-55 on the year. Jackson Holliday recorded a go-ahead two-out three-RBI double in his first career pinch-hit appearance in the sixth inning. Holliday became the second youngest player in MLB to pinch hit this season (MIL¡¯s Jackson Chourio) and the youngest MLB player with a pinch-hit extra-base hit since Juan Soto on May 15, 2018. It marked his second career game with three-or-more RBI. Emmanuel Rivera made his Orioles debut at third base.

Ram¨®n Ur¨ªas connected on his ninth home run of the year in the fifth inning. His four home runs this month are tied with August 2022 for his most homer in a single month. Ur¨ªas has recorded 13 RBI in his last 15 games.
