SAN DIEGO ¨C The San Diego Padres today announced details surrounding their renovation of Petco Park¡¯s Western Metal Supply Co. Building, which includes a complete makeover of the Padres New Era Team Store, the Budweiser Loft on the fifth level, and the Rooftop. This project is part of the Padres¡¯ longstanding and ongoing commitment to maintain and improve Petco Park. Construction on the Western Metal Building has already begun and will be completed in time for the Padres¡¯ 2025 Opening Day on Thursday, March 27, versus the Atlanta Braves.

While honoring the history of the Western Metal Supply Co. Building, the Padres New Era Team Store will expand by approximately 1,000 square feet of new floor space and will see increased checkout locations, new modern finishes, lighting and optimized merchandise displays to the existing retail environment, remodeled restrooms, and a transformed Sony Entertainment Suite and exterior deck. The improved Entertainment Suite, located in the left field corner of the playing field, is perfect for groups of 16-or-more and includes an expanded exterior deck with additional field-facing seats, a new premium catering layout, new luxury finishes and furniture, increased in-suite privacy, and access to renovated semi-private restrooms.

The new and improved Budweiser Loft, located on the fifth floor, features an elevated social space that celebrates the unique historic character of the building while adding refined hospitality touches. The upgrades include a renovated bar, new focused lighting that will enhance the guest experience, new premium furniture and games, and a transformed Foul Pole Suite. The improved Foul Pole Suite, located in the Western Metal Building on the left field foul pole, includes expanded capacity for groups of 20-or-more, a new premium catering layout, new luxury finishes and furniture, and access to renovated semi-private restrooms. The Budweiser Loft will continue to be open to the general ticketed fans and serve as a Member Happy Hour location on gamedays unless booked for a private group.

The most transformational change to the Western Metal Building includes a new grand staircase that will for the first time connect the Budweiser Loft directly to the fully renovated Western Metal Rooftop. Designed to elevate the gameday and event experience, the remodeled Rooftop will feature a 4,000-square-foot raised deck that offers all new sight lines to the playing field and increased capacity for more guests in the space. The Rooftop will also include new private restrooms dedicated to the space, a new covered trellis that will provide shade and overhead heating, all new and increased premium lounge seating, and two new video boards measuring 16-by-9 feet so that guests in the space will not miss any of the action on the playing field. The showpiece of the improved Western Metal Rooftop will be a new feature wall on the field-facing side, which will light up, including the night sky, for celebratory moments. Priority for Rooftop private events and gameday experiences will be given to groups of 300 guests-or-more; and now with the direct connectivity to the Budweiser Loft, can comfortably accommodate groups exceeding 1,000 people.

The Western Metal Supply Co. Building¡¯s iconic brick fa?ade will remain untouched, while the suites on the third and fourth floors of the building were recently renovated when the Padres remodeled all 70 suites at Petco Park in 2022.

Fans looking to access the new Entertainment and Foul Pole Suites, or the transformed Rooftop, must place a deposit for the 2025 regular season. The contiguous space will allow for larger groups up to 1,500 people to experience Petco Park with two new venues that flow into each other complete with state-of-the art amenities and premium finishes.
