Sergio del Prado

Sergio del Prado enters his 10th season with the Padres after joining the club in June 2015 as vice president corporate partnerships. He was promoted to his current position in January 2024, a role in which he oversees corporate sponsorship sales and service, linear and digital media sales and ticket sales and service. During his tenure in San Diego, corporate partnerships has seen revenue growth in each of the last nine seasons (2015-23) reaching all-time highs every season. del Prado has also worked with partners to enhance fan experience with ballpark destinations and fan amenities such as the Petco Barkyard (sports first pet suites), Lexus Premier Club, Ballast Point Craft Pier, Budweiser Loft, Gallagher Square, Gallagher Chairman¡¯s Club, Southwest Airlines Party¡¯s at the Park, Callaway¡¯s Links at Petco Park, Toyota Beach and Cutwater Agave Club. In 2022 under del Prado¡¯s leadership, the Padres became the first MLB team to sell a jersey patch (Motorola) and complete partnership deals in Mexico, Brazil and China.
del Prado came to San Diego from Los Angeles, where he spent nine seasons with the Dodgers prior to starting his own sports marketing consulting business, del Prado Group Sports Marketing Consulting. With the Dodgers, del Prado most recently served as vice president, sales, overseeing ticket sales, sponsorship sales and service, Spanish broadcast sales and service and premium sales and service. Prior to joining the Dodgers, del Prado spent two years as general manager of the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team. Under his watch, the team led Major League Soccer in attendance and sponsorship revenue, while playing for the MLS Cup.
del Prado previously worked as SVP Corporate Marketing with the 1999 Women¡¯s World Cup and spent nine years with the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League, ultimately serving as director of marketing and corporate sales and leading the sales efforts that resulted with the Staples Center naming rights deal.
Born in Havana, Cuba, Del Prado earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach. He and his wife, Leslie, have two children: Monica and Eric.
