For the third straight season earned a spot on the Cardinals' Opening Day roster...on 8/27 had season-ending surgery to alleviate Raynaud's Phenomenon, which caused blockages in arteries that were inhibiting blood flow to his right hand and led to 3 stints on the disabled list...the surgery was performed in New York by Dr. Robert Hotchkiss...missed 40 games during 2 stints on the Cardinals' disabled list with blisters on the fingers of his right hand (5/17-6/14, 6/19-7/4)...were his first Major League apps on the disabled list...beginning 8/14 finished the season on Memphis' disabled list with blisters on the fingers of his right hand, followed by the surgery...7 times threw more than 1.0 inning, with a season high of 2.0 IP on 4/1 at NYM in his second appearance...stranded 12 of 14 inherited base runners (86%), the best percentage of any Cardinals reliever.
