Spent the entire season with Double-A Somerset, going 2-7 with a 3.90 ERA (115.1IP, 106H, 56R/50ER, 41BB, 120K, 11HR) in 25 starts...Was tied for third among Yankees farmhands in games started, fifth in innings pitched and eighth in strikeouts...Was second in the Eastern League in ERA, fourth in opponents¡¯ batting average, tied for fourth in games started, fifth in WHIP, eighth in innings pitched and ninth in strikeouts...Was named the Eastern League ¡°Pitcher of the Week¡± from 5/9-15 after not allowing a hit over 5.2 scoreless innings on 5/13 at Altoona (2BB, 5K)...Following the season, was tabbed by Baseball America as the Yankees¡¯ No. 9 prospect and labeled as having the ¡°Best Curveball¡± among Yankees farmhands.

Combined with Low-A Tampa, High-A Hudson Valley and Double-A Somerset to go 8-4 with a 2.52 ERA (107.1IP, 91H, 47R/30ER, 38BB, 130K, 4HR) in 23 games (21 starts)¡led all Yankees Minor Leaguers in ERA while ranking tied for fourth in starts, fifth in innings pitched and tied for fifth in wins...Began the year with Low-A Tampa, going 3-3 with a 2.34 ERA (50.0IP, 35H, 24R/13ER, 23BB, 58K, 2HR) in 13 games (11 starts)¡was named the Low-A Southeast ¡°Pitcher of the Week¡± for 7/5-11 after allowing just 2H over six scoreless innings (5K, 1HP) in his 7/9 start at Dunedin...Was promoted to Hudson Valley on 7/20, posting a 3-0 record with a 1.75 ERA (36.0IP, 33H, 8R/7ER, 8BB, 53K, 0HR) in six starts¡earned High-A East ¡°Pitcher of the Month¡± honors for August after going 2-0 with a 0.36 ERA (24.2IP, 1ER) and 36K in four starts with Hudson Valley...Was promoted to Double-A Somerset on 8/24, going 2-1 with a 4.22 ERA (21.1IP, 23H, 15R/10ER, 7BB, 19K, 2HR) and 19K in four starts.

Made his professional debut with the DSL Yankees and GCL Yankees West, going 1-1 with a 1.78 ERA (30.1IP, 16H, 8R/6ER, 12BB, 28K, 1HR) in nine games (seven starts)...Began the year with the DSL Yankees, going 1-0 with a 0.96 ERA (18.2IP, 6H, 4R/2ER, 6BB, 22K, 0HR) in six games (four starts)...Was transferred to the GCL Yankees West on 8/1 and went 0-1 with a 3.09 ERA (11.2IP, 10H, 4R/ER, 6BB, 6K, 1HR) in three starts.
