Spent the entire season with Double-A Somerset, going 2-7 with a 3.90 ERA (115.1IP, 106H, 56R/50ER, 41BB, 120K, 11HR) in 25 starts...Was tied for third among Yankees farmhands in games started, fifth in innings pitched and eighth in strikeouts...Was second in the Eastern League in ERA, fourth in opponents¡¯ batting average, tied for fourth in games started, fifth in WHIP, eighth in innings pitched and ninth in strikeouts...Was named the Eastern League ¡°Pitcher of the Week¡± from 5/9-15 after not allowing a hit over 5.2 scoreless innings on 5/13 at Altoona (2BB, 5K)...Following the season, was tabbed by Baseball America as the Yankees¡¯ No. 9 prospect and labeled as having the ¡°Best Curveball¡± among Yankees farmhands.
