How do I arrange a PAWS Appearance?
Requests must be submitted using the online request form at least two weeks prior to the event. Once your request has been received, you will be notified if PAWS is available for your event.

If we confirm PAWS to attend your event and there is a change in the date for any reason, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate the new date. If any changes occur after the date has been confirmed, please notify the Detroit Tigers as soon as possible.

If appropriate, we may ask your organization to provide a media plan which we will share with our media relations staff to ensure the greatest level of exposure for all organizations involved.

If for any reason PAWS must cancel an appearance, the mascot coordinator will notify the group/event contact immediately and every effort will be made to provide an alternative appearance.

What types of events does PAWS attend?
Birthday Parties, School Functions, Parades, Festivals, Weddings, Races, Church Events, Charity Events, and many others.

How far does PAWS travel for appearances?
PAWS is available for appearances in the Metropolitan Detroit Area. Please note: The PAWS appearance fee is determined by the length of time requested, type of appearance and the driving distance to and from Comerica Park. If your event requires more than 60 miles of travel round trip, you will be charged an additional travel fee. (Travel fee will include a rate of $.59/mile for any travel distance in excess of 60 miles of travel round trip.

What are the event requirements?
Event hosts must provide a private changing area for the mascot. A bathroom/restroom is NOT sufficient.

Bottled water must be provided for the mascot.

I have submitted the online request form, does that mean PAWS is confirmed for my event?
No. Just submitting the online request form does not guarantee that PAWS is available for your event. Based on high demand, PAWS is not available to attend every appearance that is requested. The Detroit Tigers will inform you if PAWS is available for your event

Once PAWS is confirmed for your event, the Detroit Tigers will contact you by phone to discuss the event in more detail and finalize the contract for the appearance.

Any use of team trademarks (through photography, collateral, advertising, etc.,) is strictly prohibited unless approved by the Detroit Tigers.

Am I allowed to use the pictures of PAWS on social media?
Absolutely! We encourage you to post pictures of PAWS attending your event on social media and tagging either the Detroit Tigers or PAWS himself.

The Detroit Tigers request that any photograph/videography shot during the event be provided to the team, preferably in a digital format.

The Detroit Tigers retain the right to use any photography or videography taken during the event for promotional or marketing purposes.
