Here are the Brewers' 2025 Top 30 prospects
It¡¯s prospect whack-a-mole in Milwaukee. Just when one elite prospect graduates to the Major League club, another seems to rise from the depths of the farm system.
At this time last year, outfielder Jackson Chourio was considered the Brewers¡¯ top prospect and clocked in at No. 2 overall on the Top 100 before he put together a 20-20 season as a rookie in the NL Central. Now, shortstop Jesus Made has emerged as a top talent from the Dominican Summer League who¡¯s about to take several plus tools to the States.
Made is one of four Top 100 prospects on Milwaukee¡¯s Top 30 Prospects list for 2025, as released by MLB Pipeline on Tuesday.
Catcher Jeferson Quero actually tops the list as an elite defensive catcher who would have likely seen the Majors last year, if not for a torn labrum in his right shoulder that ended his season after one game with Triple-A Nashville. Shortstop Cooper Pratt -- a Minor League Gold Glove winner in his first full season in 2024 -- and right-hander Jacob Misiorowski round out that Top 100 quartet.
Quero and Misiorowski are one of 10 ranked prospects with ETAs of 2025, highlighting just how ready the farm is to supplement Milwaukee¡¯s pursuit of a return to the MLB postseason this fall. It¡¯s still up in the air if Misiorowski (and his triple-digit fastball, plus-plus curveball and plus slider) will remain a starter or move to relief, where he could be downright elite in short bursts. If he moves to the bullpen, he¡¯d be in the conversation with right-hander Craig Yoho (No. 19), who made MLB Pipeline¡¯s All-Prospect First Team after posting a 0.94 ERA with 101 strikeouts in 57 2/3 innings on the strength of a plus-plus changeup.
But much of the spotlight will be on Made in just his age-18 season. The switch-hitting shortstop slashed .331/.458/.554 with six homers and 28 steals in 51 games in the DSL last year and could be set to follow the path of Chourio, Luis Lara and Yophery Rodriguez as players who skipped the Arizona Complex League and headed straight to Single-A Carolina. If Made puts up anything close to those numbers in the Carolina League, we could be talking about him at Chourian heights of the Top 100 by 2026.

Biggest jump/fall
Here are the players whose ranks changed the most from the 2024 preseason list to the 2025 preseason list:
Jump: Jesus Made, SS/3B (2024: NR | 2025: 2)
Made signed for $950,000 in January 2024 and wasn¡¯t even the Brewers¡¯ biggest international addition of the year. (That was Jorge Quintana, who signed for $1.7 million.) His rise up the ranks and into the Top 100 wasn¡¯t just fueled by his surface-level stats -- his data showed excellent swing decisions and promising power for his age and experience level, giving added belief that his tools will play anywhere he goes. Made simply needs more experience and continued health before his stock goes even more supernova.
Fall: Eric Brown Jr., SS (2024: 12 | 2025: NR)
Taken with the 27th overall pick in 2022, Brown earned a mulligan after battling multiple injuries in his first full season. But he played out the entire 2024 campaign with Double-A Biloxi and still didn¡¯t steady the ship, finishing with a .185/.270/.262 line and four homers in 105 games. A .221 BABIP certainly did him no favors, but the right-handed hitter elevates often without the strength to muscle balls over the fence, making for easier catches by defenders. An adjustment could get him back on the Top 30, given his speed and defensive capabilities at a premium position.
