The Buck O¡¯Neil Legacy Seat continues to be one of the greatest Kansas City honors for individuals impacting our community. While Buck loved baseball, his love of this city and its people impacted those inside and outside of the game. Buck¡¯s seat is famous at Kauffman Stadium¡ªit is the only red seat in the stadium, and it is where Buck sat when scouting.

We support many organizations to provide funding and support, including Kansas City VA, Heart of America Patriot Foundation, Wounded Warrior, Horses for Heroes, Retrieving Freedom, and many more.
Do you know someone who is active military or a veteran who is deserving of being honored at a Royals game? We offer seats per home game to honor Kansas Citians who served or are currently serving our country. Nominate someone for the Salute to Service Seat presented by Miller Lite to honor veteran or active-duty service members.
The Royals and our partners are committed to taking big swings to make a difference and ensure a healthy future for the game by working to create a sustainable and renewable future for Kansas City. We are empowering our fans to reduce, reuse, and recycle through a robust stadium presence. Our Fountain Gardens at The K helps reduce food insecurity for the kids at our Urban Youth Academy and is used to make specialty food items in the stadium. We also understand the importance and impact of sustainable energy from our solar panels, drink stations, car charging stations, and LED energy-efficient lights.

To raise awareness for diabetes, Sun Life is once again teaming up with The Kansas City Royals Foundation for the Strikeout Diabetes fundraising campaign, which benefits a different Kansas City-area nonprofit organization each year.
In partnership with Blue KC, the Royals honor a local responder on the field in a pregame ceremony, which includes meeting pitching coach Brian Sweeney. Each recipient is given a swag bag and will be invited back for an on-field lunch at the end of the season with other Answering the Call honorees.
In honor of Jackie Robinson Day, the Kansas City Royals host an annual sports career panel called Club 42, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City.
