D-backs Girls Play Ball Program

¡°I would like to thank you again for including us in your baseball event on Saturday. Lauren had an amazing time and can¡¯t stop talking about it. She went to practice yesterday and shared with all her teammates how much fun she had.

We feel so fortunate to have been able to be a part of this. You should be so proud of this incredible event. From start to finish it blew us away. Every detail, lunch, professional photographer, hats, shirts, gloves and custom sleeves for the cute Polaroid shots. Simply amazing!

We can¡¯t wait to see the pictures so we can relive it all again. I am team mom and secretary for Lauren's baseball team, The Peaches. We are an all-girls baseball team in Chandler, we are traveling this summer to the Baseball for all Tournament in Rockford, Illinois. We are so excited!¡±

She has been through some serious depression/anxiety in the last two months in which she has had suicidal intentions. She is now working with behavioral health and so far is doing great. Also, working with a school counselor so she may gain confidence in herself. She was super excited when I mentioned this all girl clinic to her and I¡¯m sure she will be ecstatic when she finds out that she will be attending! She played softball in the past and quit this season due to her emotions but I¡¯m hoping this will get her playing again with confidence. Again, thank you for the opportunity and giving back to the community.¡±

¡°Pristina was my student at Villago Middle School and was a star on my boys¡¯ baseball team. She is so thankful that she got accepted to the GPB program! Because her parents couldn¡¯t make it, I represented her that day. I can¡¯t thank the Arizona Diamondbacks enough for the incredible experience! Tina had so much fun with the program and when Casey Wilcox let us on to the field for batting practice it was truly a dream come true for both of us. However, if we weren¡¯t there for GPB earlier in the day that never would¡¯ve happened so I just wanted to let you know that we appreciate the opportunity! With the free tickets we got after the program, we were able to stay at the ballpark all day and had a once in a lifetime type of experience. Thank you so much, you and the rest of the GPB and D-backs staff were incredible. Tina has been a fan her whole life, but for me I think you turned a Chicago kid into a Diamondbacks fan!¡±
