Members from the amazing MDA community of Philadelphia will be in attendance as well.¡°
After two years without being able to gather in person in support of the MDA, we are so excited to safely get together for a night of eating, drinking and fundraising,¡± said Rhys Hoskins. ¡°Jayme and I have been involved with MDA for almost 20 years ¨C first as camp counselors in high school, and now as ambassadors in Philadelphia at local walks, galas, Phillies games and educational events. We are humbled to have the support of MDA to host this event and hope to make this a longstanding tradition in Philadelphia and beyond. We hope to see you there!¡±
In addition, fans can take part in the online ¡°¡®Go Yard Silent Auction¡¯¡± featuring unique memorabilia and experiences available to bid, all to benefit the cause.
Updates to the event will also be posted on the MDA Philadelphia Facebook Page.¡°
The services MDA provides in research, care, and advocacy for equal access for people with disabilities, has empowered me to live life to the fullest,¡± said MDA Ambassador and Advocate Chris Carroll, who lives with muscular dystrophy. ¡°My wife, young daughter and baby on the way are all about sharing our story at events like this one so people understand how important it is to find treatments and cures for people diagnosed with neuromuscular disease.¡±
Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is the #1 voluntary health organization in the United States for people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases. For more than 70 years, MDA has led the way in accelerating research, advancing care, and advocating for the support of our families. MDA¡¯s mission is to empower the people we serve to live longer, more independent lives.
