The Phils are back at Citizens Bank Park for a four-game series against the San Francisco Giants. Here¡¯s a look at some of the fan highlights surrounding this week, including a celebration of Jackie Robinson Day:
- The series begins on Monday, April 14, with Hatfield Phillies Franks BOGO Night at 6:45 p.m. Fans can buy two hot dogs for the price of one ($5) at concession stands throughout the ballpark. Gate openings: 3B/LF ¨C 4:45 p.m.; all other gates 5:15 p.m.
- Before the game, comedian Jeff Dye will throw a ceremonial first pitch.
- The Phillies are celebrating the Class of 2025! Limited Theme Night tickets remain to receive a Class of 2025 fleece blanket.
- On Tuesday, April 15, before that night¡¯s 6:45 p.m. game, the Phillies will join Major League Baseball in celebrating the life and legacy of Jackie Robinson. Gate openings: 3B/LF ¨C 4:45 p.m.; all other gates 5:15 p.m.
- As is tradition, players, managers and coaches will wear Robinson¡¯s iconic No. 42, along with New Era caps with a ¡°42¡± side patch. The on-field recognition will also include commemorative base jewels, batting circles and a stenciled no. 42 on the pitching mound.
- At 6:20 p.m., the team will host its on-field Jackie Robinson tribute. As part of the event, Phillies alum and Hall of Famer Ferguson ¡°Fergie¡± Jenkins, whose 284 wins are the most by a Black pitcher in major league history, will throw a ceremonial first pitch. Jenkins is also featured in the Phillies ¡°Pioneers in Pinstripes¡± display, located in the Cadillac Hall of Fame Club.
- The national anthem will be sung by Jillian Patricia Pirtle from the Marian Anderson Foundation.
- Additionally, the Phillies will honor their 2025 Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholar, Zachary Onsinyo, a sophomore attending the University of Pennsylvania, as well as their Jackie Robinson Phillies Charities, Inc. Grant recipient Jordan Thompson, who is a Phillies Nike RBI athlete and Southeast Youth Athletic Association member.
- Also happening before the game, the Phillies will host Strike Out the Stigma presented by GHOST?, focusing on the topic of Mental Health in Sports and featuring 2008 World Series MVP Cole Hamels, San Francisco Giants MLB Mental Health Advocate Drew Robinson and Jenkins as guest speakers.
Note: Earlier that day at noon, the Phillies will join the Business Association of West Parkside and Parkside Association of Philadelphia for a Jackie Robinson Day Celebration, also honoring the Philadelphia Stars, at Miller Parker Philadelphia Stars Negro League Memorial Park (44th & Parkside). This year marks the 20th year since the first Jackie Robinson Day in West Parkside and the unveiling of the park. Special guests include Jenkins, 1993 NL champion and 2008 World Series coach Milt Thompson, 1983 NLCS MVP Gary ¡°Sarge¡± Matthews and 1980 World Series champion Dickie Noles, along with the Phanatic and Phillies Ballgirls.
- At the 6:45 p.m. game on Wednesday, April 16, the Phillies will host the 10th annual Red Goes Greek Night, giving fraternities and sororities the opportunity to highlight their charitable work and raise both money and awareness to support their philanthropies. Gate openings: 3B/LF ¨C 4:45 p.m.; all other gates 5:15 p.m.
- The series concludes on Thursday, April 17, with that day¡¯s 4:05 p.m. matchup. After the game, fans 55 and over are invited on-field for Independence Blue Cross Senior Stroll the Bases. Gate openings: 3B/LF ¨C 2:05 p.m.; all other gates 2:35 p.m.
