Expected return: Late March to early April

Injury: Back spasms
Expected return: Day to day
Status: Montgomery was scratched from the starting lineup Feb. 27 for precautionary measures after feeling something on one of his swings during batting practice. Through the White Sox, Montgomery said he had zero concern. (Last updated: Feb. 27) More >>
RHP Drew Thorpe
Injury: Residual inflammation from Sept. 7 surgery to shave down bone spur in right elbow
Expected return: April
Status: Thorpe feels good after throwing side sessions, aside from the normal soreness. He¡¯ll hope to move on to live BPs after another couple of weeks of side sessions. (Last updated Feb. 25)
RHP Prelander Berroa
Injury: Grade 1 right elbow strain
Expected return: Course of action to be determined

3B Bryan Ramos
Injury: Elbow soreness
Expected return: He continues working
Status: Ramos is hitting and taking ground balls. The only thing he has yet to add on is throwing. (Last updated Feb. 22)

? RHP Mike Clevinger: Agreed to a Minor League deal and received a non-roster invite to Spring Training. This is Clevinger¡¯s third straight year with the team, and he could be used in a leverage relief role this time around.

? OF/1B Joey Gallo: Agreed to a Minor League deal and received a non-roster invite to Spring Training. The powerful left-handed hitter will be viewed primarily as a first baseman.
