Jos¨¦ Ram¨ªrez, Guardians
Ram¨ªrez was not in the starting lineup for the series finale on March 30 against the Royals after suffering a right wrist sprain the previous day, but imaging came back negative. He's day to day.
Tomoyuki Sugano, Colton Cowser, Gunnar Henderson and Albert Su¨¢rez, Orioles
Sugano exited his MLB debut on March 30 prior to the start of the fifth inning due to cramping in his right hand.
Cowser also came out of the March 30 game with an injury, suffering a fractured left thumb on a slide into first base in the seventh inning. He was placed on the 10-day IL on March 31 and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.
Henderson (mild right intercostal strain) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk on March 28 and could return as early as this week.
Su¨¢rez has been placed on the 15-day IL with right shoulder inflammation.
Max Scherzer, Blue Jays
Scherzer was placed on the 15-day injured list with right thumb inflammation on March 30, one day after exiting his Blue Jays debut early due to lat soreness related to his recurring thumb issue.
Josh Jung, Rangers
Jung was placed on the 10-day IL due to neck spasms on March 30, retroactive to March 29.
Trea Turner and Ranger Su¨¢rez, Phillies
Turner was scratched from the Phillies' lineup on March 29 because of a lower back spasm. He remained out on March 30 and 31 but is hoping to be back on April 1.
Su¨¢rez (low back stiffness) threw a 26-pitch bullpen session on March 29. He is scheduled to throw an up-and-down bullpen session on April 1.
Jonathan India, Royals
India was in the starting lineup on March 31, one day after being hit on the side of the helmet with a 98.9 mph cutter from Emmanuel Clase.
Spencer Strider and Sean Murphy, Braves
Strider (recovery from elbow surgery) made a rehab start for Triple-A Gwinnett on March 29, allowing one run in three innings while throwing 60 pitches and striking out six batters.
Murphy (cracked left rib) will likely begin a rehab assignment with High-A Rome on April 4.
Shohei Ohtani, Tony Gonsolin, Evan Phillips and Clayton Kershaw, Dodgers
Ohtani (recovery from right elbow surgery) threw 20 pitches in a bullpen session on March 29 before the Dodgers' series finale vs. the Tigers, his first BP session since Feb. 25.
Gonsolin (back tightness) has progressed to facing live hitters.
Phillips (torn muscle in right rotator cuff) has resumed throwing bullpen sessions and facing live hitters.
Kershaw (recovery from left toe and left knee surgeries) has resumed throwing bullpen sessions and was set to face live hitters for the first time on March 29.
Aaron Civale, Brewers
Civale exited his March 30 start against the Yankees after three innings and 68 pitches due to left hamstring cramping. He was placed on the 15-day IL on March 31.
Josh Lowe, Rays
After recording his first hit in his second at-bat of the season on March 28, Lowe exited the game due to right oblique discomfort. One day later, the Rays placed Lowe on the 10-day IL.
Liam Hendriks, Brayan Bello, Lucas Giolito and Masataka Yoshida, Red Sox
Hendriks (right elbow inflammation) resumed playing catch on March 30.
Bello (right shoulder inflammation) is scheduled to start a Triple-A rehab assignment April 1. Giolito (left hamstring strain) could begin his rehab assignment on or around April 2.
Yoshida (right shoulder labrum tear/sore back) took about 50 swings on March 29, but he hasn't resumed his throwing program yet, and there's no set start date for his rehab assignment.
Gleyber Torres, Tigers
Torres (left rib tightness) exited Detroit's game on March 28 after feeling pain on a home run swing and was out of the lineup on March 29.
Jo Adell, Angels
Adell left the Angels' March 29 game against the White Sox with left hip tightness and was out of the lineup March 30.
Giancarlo Stanton and Ian Hamilton, Yankees
Stanton (right and left elbow epicondylitis) resumed hitting indoors on March 29.
Hamilton (viral illness) started a rehab assignment with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on March 29.
Jeff McNeil, Sean Manaea, Paul Blackburn and Francisco Alvarez, Mets
McNeil (right oblique strain) has been cleared to resume baseball activities, including swinging a bat.
Manaea (strained right oblique) resumed throwing on March 10 and is in the midst of a full Spring Training-style progression, which should take the better part of six weeks.
Blackburn (right knee inflammation) is expected to resume throwing on March 31.
Alvarez (fractured left hamate bone) had his stitches removed on March 24 and began performing catching drills on March 29.
Ryan Walker and Jerar Encarnacion, Giants
Walker was unavailable to close the Giants' 6-3 win over the Reds on March 30 due to a bad back, but he could be ready on March 31 at Houston.
Encarnacion had surgery to repair his left hand fracture on March 28 in Los Angeles. The Giants expect him to return to action in approximately eight weeks.
Tyler Stephenson, Austin Hays and Andrew Abbott, Reds
Stephenson's left oblique strain showed "vast improvement" in his latest MRI, manager Terry Francona said on March 29. The catcher has another MRI scheduled for April 7.
The Reds expect Hays to return from his strained left calf after their first road trip of the season (April 3-9).
Abbott (left shoulder) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment for Triple-A Louisville on April 1.
Tyler Freeman and Austin Gomber, Rockies
Freeman exited Colorado's game on March 30 with a bruised left wrist after being hit by a pitch, but X-rays were negative. He was out of the lineup on March 31.
Gomber (left shoulder soreness) started for Triple-A Albuquerque on March 28. He's scheduled to make another rehab start on April 2 and will be eligible to return from the 15-day injured list on April 8.
