Grayson Rodriguez, Andrew Kittredge and Zach Eflin, Orioles
The Orioles are seeking more opinions after receiving the results of imaging on Rodriguez's right shoulder. Rodriguez, who has been on the injured list with right elbow inflammation, was originally scheduled for a side session on April 17 but instead underwent an MRI after experiencing shoulder soreness.
Kittredge (left knee debridement) is ahead of his initial rehab schedule and close to facing live hitters as of April 18, meaning he could return before the end of May.
Eflin (mild right lat strain) resumed throwing on April 16, when he played catch at Camden Yards.
Nick Castellanos, Brandon Marsh and Ranger Su¨¢rez, Phillies
Castellanos left the Phillies' April 17 game against the Giants with tightness in his left hip flexor. He was in the Phillies' lineup April 18 against the Marlins.
Marsh (right knee soreness) is being evaluated after tweaking his knee on April 16. He is available in an emergency situation April 18.
Su¨¢rez (lower back stiffness) will be in Philadelphia on April 19 for a bullpen session and will make his third rehab start on April 22 with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, after which he's likely to need at least one additional outing before being activated.
Wyatt Langford, Jack Leiter and Josh Smith, Rangers
Langford (right oblique strain) began a rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco on April 17 as the RoughRiders' DH. He was expected to play the outfield on April 18 before making his return to the big league lineup on April 19.
Leiter (right middle finger blister) threw about 53 pitches across three ¡°ups¡± in a live batting practice session pregame on April 17. The Rangers still haven¡¯t decided whether Leiter will immediately return to the big league rotation or make a rehab start beforehand.
Smith (thumb bruise) was out of the lineup again on April 18 but is expected to return during the current homestand.
Jeff McNeil, Francisco Alvarez and Jose Siri, Mets
McNeil (right oblique strain) began a rehab assignment April 11 with Single-A St. Lucie and played a new position, center field, there on April 17. He will advance to Double-A Binghamton in the coming days
Alvarez (fractured left hamate bone) is scheduled for back-to-back nine-inning games on April 18 and 19, after which he could be activated.
Siri (fractured left tibia) will undergo follow-up testing on April 21 but is currently expected to miss at least three weeks.
Pablo L¨®pez, Royce Lewis and Matt Wallner, Twins
L¨®pez (right hamstring strain) is expected to make a rehab start for Triple-A St. Paul on April 19.
Lewis (left hamstring strain) began doing light baserunning work on April 17 but is not yet nearing a return.
Wallner (left hamstring tightness) was placed on the 10-day IL on April 17.
Zach Neto, Angels
Neto was activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of the Angels' series opener against the Giants on April 18.
Casey Schmitt, Giants
Schmitt was scratched from the lineup vs. the Angels on April 18 with left side tightness.
Masyn Winn, Cardinals
Winn (lower back spasms) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis on April 18 and could be activated as soon as he is eligible on April 22.
Josh Lowe, Shane McClanahan and Ha-Seong Kim, Rays
Lowe (Grade 2 right oblique strain) has resumed throwing and will take dry swings for the first time on April 19.
McClanahan (left triceps nerve irritation) is expected to attempt to throw for the first time the week of April 21.
Kim (right shoulder surgery) is throwing, hitting, fielding and throwing with more intensity across the infield. He's set to begin a sliding progression soon.
Lucas Erceg, Hunter Harvey, Kyle Wright and Sam Long, Royals
Erceg exited his outing against the Tigers on April 18 after being struck by a 109.1 mph liner on his left foot. He left with a left foot contusion and the X-rays came back ¡°clean."
Harvey (Grade 1 right teres major strain) is expected to be re-evaluated on April 22.
Wright (mild right hamstring strain/right shoulder) is expected to throw three innings in Arizona on April 21.
Long (left elbow inflammation) is shut down from throwing for the week and will be re-evaluated afterwards.
Marcus Stroman, DJ LeMahieu, Jonathan Lo¨¢isiga, Luis Gil and Giancarlo Stanton, Yankees
Stroman (left knee inflammation) was playing catch as of April 18.
LeMahieu (left calf strain) could begin a rehab assignment as soon as April 22, likely with Double-A Somerset, but will require a long buildup before he can return to the Majors.
Lo¨¢isiga (recovery from right UCL surgery) is scheduled to his third live batting practice session April 20 in Tampa, Fla., as he nears a Minor League rehab assignment.
Gil (right lat strain), who was scheduled to begin a throwing program on April 16, has had his progress delayed by about 10 days.
Stanton (torn tendons in both elbows) is still in pain but has reported that it's manageable. He could resume taking live at-bats soon.
Beau Brieske, Tigers
Brieske was placed on the 15-day injured list on April 18 with right ankle inflammation.
Christian Encarnacion-Strand and Tyler Stephenson, Reds
Encarnacion-Strand was placed on the 10-day IL on April 17 with lower back inflammation.
Stephenson (left oblique strain) is catching in the bullpen and throwing to bases and could begin a rehab assignment as soon as April 22.
Clayton Kershaw, Blake Snell and Evan Phillips, Dodgers
Kershaw (left toe/left knee surgery recovery) made a three-inning rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on April 16.
Snell (left shoulder inflammation) has resumed playing catch and is expected to resume throwing off a mound during the week of April 21.
Phillips (torn muscle in right rotator cuff) is nearing a return after making six rehab outings with Triple-A Oklahoma City. He is expected to make another appearance with the Comets before rejoining the team in Chicago.
Paul DeJong and DJ Herz, Nationals
DeJong, who was hit in the face by a fastball from Mitch Keller on April 15, was placed on the 10-day IL on April 16 with a fractured nose.
Herz underwent Tommy John surgery on April 16.
Ezequiel Tovar and Brenton Doyle, Rockies
Tovar was scratched from the lineup prior to the Rockies' April 16 finale at Dodger Stadium with left hip pain.
Doyle (left quad soreness) has gotten "incrementally better" each day since sustaining the injury, per manager Bud Black. He was placed on the bereavement list on April 17.
Brandon Woodruff and Tobias Myers, Brewers
Woodruff (right shoulder surgery) allowed three runs and six hits over four innings for High-A Wisconsin on April 18 in his second rehab start, striking out three and walking three.
Myers (left oblique discomfort) was slated to throw 65-70 pitches in his next rehab start with Triple-A Nashville on April 18 and could be activated afterwards.
Mart¨ªn P¨¦rez, White Sox
P¨¦rez left his April 18 start vs. the Red Sox after three innings with left forearm soreness. He's scheduled for an MRI on April 19.
Max Scherzer, Daulton Varsho and Erik Swanson, Blue Jays
Scherzer (right thumb inflammation) recently received a second cortisone shot in his thumb after meeting with another hand specialist. He will rejoin the Blue Jays on April 21 in Houston, and the club hopes Scherzer can play catch early in the week.
Varsho (right rotator cuff surgery) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Dunedin the weekend of April 18, then move to Triple-A Buffalo.
Swanson (median nerve entrapment) will throw a simulated game on April 19, and if all goes well, he'll begin his rehab assignment soon after.
Justin Steele and Javier Assad, Cubs
Steele underwent season-ending surgery on April 18 to address the flexor tendon and UCL in his left elbow.
Assad (mild left oblique strain) threw 66 pitches in 3 1/3 innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Iowa on April 15. He has another rehab start scheduled for April 20.
Jackson Merrill, Yu Darvish, Jake Cronenworth and Jason Heyward, Padres
Merrill (right hamstring strain) didn't travel to Houston as he continues to do light running and build toward more baseball activity.
Darvish (right elbow inflammation) is on the road trip and might throw a bullpen session in Houston.
Cronenworth (non-displaced right rib fracture) did some baseball activity in Houston on April 18.
Heyward was scratched from the Padres' lineup in Houston on April 18 with left knee soreness and is day to day.
Brayan Bello, Liam Hendriks, Kutter Crawford and Connor Wong, Red Sox
Bello (right shoulder inflammation) will likely rejoin the rotation when the Mariners come to town April 22-24. If not, he will pitch in Cleveland for the start of the next road trip.
Hendriks (right elbow inflammation) appears to be finished with his Minor League rehab assignment and could be activated by the Red Sox at some point during the four-game series against the White Sox, beginning April 18.
Crawford (right patellar soreness) threw an up-and-down bullpen session at Fenway Park on April 18, and his next step might be to face live hitters for the first time since his final start of the 2024 season.
Wong (left pinkie fracture) is making steady progress and could be back for the majority of May if he stays on his current trajectory.
Lance McCullers Jr., Forrest Whitley and Kaleb Ort, Astros
McCullers (right flexor tendon surgery) is scheduled to make his next rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi on April 19, after which he could be activated.
Whitley (left knee bruise) has made four Minor League rehab appearances, throwing 3 2/3 innings, and could be activated soon.
Ort (left oblique strain) could be activated soon after throwing three innings across four Minor League rehab appearances.
